(Basic Form Two)


This is the second form in the Tang Soo Do system.  It follows the same pattern which was established in the previous form, however it introduces slightly different techniques.  It emphasizes basic blocking & striking techniques.  The form was developed by Hwang Kee in 1947 in Seoul, Korea. 

  1. Starting from ready stance (Chumbee) look left and step out with left leg into front stance performing a left hand high block.
  2. Step with the right foot into a front stance performing a high punch with the right hand.
  3. Look over the right shoulder; turn your body 180 degrees stepping with the right foot into a front stance performing a right hand high block.
  4. Step with the left foot into a front stance performing a high punch with the left hand.
  5. Look left and turn 90 degrees with the left foot into a fighting stance.
  6. Right leg front side kick.
  7. Left leg front side kick.
  8. Right leg front side kick stepping into a fighting stance.
  9. Look over the left shoulder; turn your body 180 degrees stepping with the left foot into a front stance performing a left hand high block.
  10. Step with the right foot into a front stance performing a high punch with the right hand.
  11. Look over the right shoulder; turn your body 180 degrees stepping with the right foot into a front stance performing a right hand high block.
  12. Step with the left foot into a front stance performing a left hand front punch.
  13. Look left and turn 90 degrees stepping with the left foot into a fighting stance.
  14. Right leg front side kick.
  15. Left leg front side kick.
  16. Right leg front side kick stepping into a fighting stance.
  17. Look over the left shoulder; turn your body 180 degrees stepping with the left foot into a front stance performing a left hand high block.
  18. Step with the right foot into a front stance performing a high punch with the right hand.
  19. Look over the right shoulder; turn your body 180 degrees stepping with the right foot into a front stance performing a right hand high block.
  20. Step with the left foot into a front stance performing a left hand front punch.
  21. Look over left shoulder; turn 90 degrees into chumbee stance.
